This soulful bird painting is called A New Dawn.

She reminds you to start the day anew with the beginner’s mind.

I come from a long line of bird loving women. Mum, Nan and further back took great pleasure and solace in feeding and watching the birds in their gardens.

I feel this is a nod to all those beautiful women who led eventually to me and my daughters and maybe their daughters to be.

They all lived complex yet colourful lives that created a patchwork of pain and happiness combined.

So with this painting I celebrate all the beautiful birds- both the feathered varieties and those in human form.
