This beautiful and bright owl painting is part of my collection of Wise, Wild, Wonderful Owls.  This magical series invites you to:

• Share and celebrate your WISDOM
• Dream WILDLY
• And remember you are WONDERFUL just the way you are.

All of my owls in this series celebrate both our inner wisdom and the flawed beauty of us all as humans.

This bright owl painting also makes a huge colour statement.  She is painted using tones of:

• Forest Green which symbolises deepening our love for others and ourselves
• Deep Pink which symbolises love and compassion
• Jet Black which symbolises strength, power and sophistication

As you can see, each colour has a significant and spiritual meaning that adds depth to the artwork.  I had to be careful with the balance of these colours as black can be so overpowering.  As I painted this canvas, I was reminded that balance is key and so I called this piece Balance and Harmony as a result.

The fuchsia flowers that crown this beautiful owl are made from homemade collage papers.  I love the freedom from control this gives my artwork. You will be interested to know that one of the meanings behind these beautiful flowers is ‘Confiding Love’.  They are an expression of trust.

As I created them, I was reminded of how I used to push the stalk through the top part of the flower to make a dancing ballerina.

What is wonderfully unique about you?  What are you grateful for? If you don’t love everything about yourself just yet, starting with acceptance of who you are today is key.  I find it reassuring to remember that we are all naturally flawed by nature as a human.
