I love affirmations, don’t you? Affirmation cards have been a life saver on more than one occasion. They help guide me to a better way of thinking that’s so helpful to me and my loved ones.
You see, they help me maintain a wonderful, loving connection with myself and in turn my relationships with others are strong and positive.
But you know, a lot of people think ‘oh affirmations don’t really work for me’. Well, affirmations don’t work if you work with them half-heartedly.
That’s why I had the idea to combine my art with simple, daily affirmations that you can focus on and commit to for the day, a week or a month at a time.
And here are my TOP 3 ways to use your affirmation cards…
1. Frame and display your affirmation cards
This is my favourite idea.
Each postcard sized affirmation looks so beautiful in a frame as you can see in the image on your left. But also by spreading them around your home you always have reminders of important messages.
Some days you may notice a particular affirmation more often than another. I believe this is a message from the universe. It means this affirmation needs your particular attention and it will be very helpful to you.
2. Keep your affirmation cards with your journal
Sometimes, even an avid journal writer can open up their notebook and think oo I don’t know what to write about.
In these instances, one idea could be to shuffle your affirmation cards and pick one at random. Then write down your immediate thoughts on how it could work for you and how you will implement the affirmation throughout the day.
The affirmation is like a seed. The more support you give with your writing, your subsequent actions and thoughts, the better it will grow and the more powerful it will be for you.
Alternatively, you could pick a card at random with a loved one and discuss it together.
What comes up for you with this affirmation?
3. Spread the magic!
Each of my affirmation packs contain 5 different designs and affirmations influenced by the painting or animal wisdom.
This means you could send 5 loved ones a message that is pertinent to them. Spreading the love and spreading the magic is what life is all about (imo).
That person could then display the postcard on their fridge, noticeboard for a daily reminder. Or they could frame it in a funky frame and stand it on their bedside table or desk. Perhaps they will use it as a journal prompt from time to time.
Final thoughts...
All my art is a visual affirmation. Each picture has a meaningful message that has helped me along my spiritual journey.
‘Sing Your Wild Song’ is a whale painting that reminds you to follow your own path. And to avoid comparing yourself with others’ successes and strengths.
‘Guardian Angel of Independence’ carries a cat on her shoulder and invites you to embrace your independent spirit – to not be afraid to stand out from the crowd and be the magical and unique you.
‘Trust’ is a piece of art that fills your heart with fearless faith so you can be content with yourself and others. It reminds you that the Universe does indeed have your back.
