Picture of artist standing in a goddess pose with Hello Wild Woman written across the picture

Hi! I’m Sarah, a UK-based artist known for my vibrant, whimsical, and emotionally rich paintings of owls and other wild animals.

I make art because it’s how I can express my wild woman energy. It’s how I transform the pain of personal grief, and a life time of people pleasing and perfectionism into pieces of pure alchemy that brings healing to me and to others

My art is layered and starts from a place of deep intuition, using powerful colour and expressive mark making and it is filled with animal wisdom, fierce feminine energy, and soulful symbolism.

I want it to whisper to others: you’re allowed to feel, to play, to be messy and real. I believe the world needs more play and less perfection, more colour and less conformity, more balance and beauty and less hustle and bustle.

This is the Wild Woman Artist’s way.

Art that's Food for the Soul...

Sarah’s artwork has been displayed at the Whitfield Gallery as part of their   winter exhibition. It brought the warmth of vibrant colour to those who visited.

Her work has been described as ‘Food for the Soul’.

Additionally, she has designed the front cover and created 6 illustrations for a novel   called The Shaman by Joseph Carrabis.

Testimonials - Love for Sarah Bowden Art

Sarah, I can’t thank you enough for sharing your beautiful and insightful art with me. The paintings I have purchased from you have special places of honor in our home. So colorful, bringing cheer to each room. Every time I look at them, I’m reminded that art has no rules, art is an expression of the soul and art, especially your art, reminds me that play is essential to happiness.

Owning original art is something special. Very different to a mass produced piece. Sarah's art speaks to me, it calls me in. Her angel kept calling me before I purchased it a bit like a siren. I was compelled to keep looking at it. I kept hoping it didnt sell till I had enough money to buy it. This art is now on my bedroom wall I say good morning and good evening to the angel every day I've even named her Lydia. Its so impactful every day I notice something different in the picture. It brings me great comfort I feel the care, support, love, compassion, empathy heart and soul that went into the painting its so much more than a piece of art it's a whole experience.

Art for me is such a personal experience & I have always loved the beauty that speaks to my soul. I have found a special connection in Sarah’s artwork. The colour & spiritual connection to her beautiful paintings brings me such joy. I have a number of hers which line my stairway to my bedroom. When I am in need of nurture I sit there, in peace & stillness just to soak up their magic. I am so grateful to have found her x

Water spirit owl - I love the blues greens and gold for healing. I was drawn to her as where there are often moments of tears, release of grief and realisations in my healing and reading room, Water spirit owl now joins me here to help wipe them away, take those tears and take some grief away for those I work with too.

Well Sarah, I cried when I revealed her from the packaging. Thank you so much, she is beautiful!
